Is there Constitutional precedent for requiring people to buy health insurance?

Car insurance is mandated because you're licensed to drive and the license can be revoked, but you're not licensed to live, so is there legal standing for requiring purchase of a product (health insurance)?

car insurance is addressed at the state level thus it falls under the tenth amendment. There is no constitutional precedent for government mandated health insurance. however the dems will probably further bastardize the commerce clause in an attempt to legitimize an otherwise unconstitutional law.
