Put some salt in there and wrap it up with sandpaper. To keep your mind off of that pain, take some razor wire and nestle that deeply betwixt your buttocks. For the love of all that is holy, to hell with the health care bill, get you monkey *** to hospital stat!

Do group health insurance plans provide for covering costs of auto personal injury after auto ins PIP pays out?

Do group health insurance plans typically cover balances remaining for treatment related to automobile accidents after auto insurance personal injury protection has paid its maximum benefit?

Usually not. You may have to sue the person that caused to accident.

Would you drop your expensive health insurance when Obama finds a less expensive way to insure us all?

Or will you insist a good deal is socialist as you always do before you fact check?
--------------------
I quit paying the "health" insurance companies many years ago - and under the republican plan, if I get really sick I die like a dog in a ditch. Shouldn't be called "health" insurance - perhaps it should be "money" insurance - as it insures that the insurance companies get your money - and you get to pay a LOT of insurance agents' salaries! So ya - I could do with a little "socialist".

I work at Brookshires and I wanted to know if I can put my mother in my health insurance plan?

Well my cuestion is if I can use my work insurance plan to cover my mother. I am not married yet, so I am paying just for my self. she is not ill, it's just in case she needs it. Thanks.
--------------------
I'd be extremely surprised if your mother would qualify as a dependent on your health insurance policy through your employer. You can ask, of course, but don't be surprised if the answer is no. Generally, the only people who might qualify as a dependent on an insurance policy would be a spouse, child, or stepchild. Some groups may allow you to add domestic partners and children you have legal guardianship of. Those are the basics though - any other relationship would be a rare exception.

Is the health insurance in Canada as good as its made out to be?

Ive heard that even though the health care is free you may have to wait a long time for an appointment
--------------------
Our health care system has its good and its bad points. The reasons I would never want to lose our health care system: when you go to the hospital or doctor, no one worries how much money you have in your account, if you're at the right hospital for your coverage.. you just go. It's universal so everyone is covered, and people at the lower end of the income scale have their medical premiums subsidized. I don't pay any co-pays when I see my doctor. If I need to see a specialist, I get sent.. no checking with my insurance to see if they cover it. What our system desperately needs to fix: The wait times. It's very sad, but many people ARE waiting far too long to see specialists, to have surgeries done, etc. Sadly, wait times in ERs can easily be four or more hours. Not good.. The system is over-worked and underfunded. The doctors, nurses and technicians are hard-working and for the most part caring and wonderful, but they're caseloads are far too high. There's a shortage of General practician doctors in certain areas, and god forbid you live outside a large city. I don't blame our universal system on the problems, but rather years of mismanagement and fat cats who eat at the trough. Oh.. and when you say our system is "free" - it's not free. we pay for it through our medicare preminums AND our taxes. No, we don't pay for the individual appointments and visits to the hospital, etc., but don't for a second think that it's free.

Are there any good arguments for requiring health insurance. Ive only heard arguments against it?

Ive heard the car insurance one, not very solid. I also have heard there will be hardship exemptions and certain levels of income earned that will determine how much help will be given in purchasing insurance. Just looking for somethings to note when someone brings up this part of the bill
--------------------
There are lots of good arguments for it. There are also lots of good arguments against it. Since you asked, I'll give you some of the "pro" arguments. In theory, one could take the position "if you chose not to get insurance, it's your own problem, and you should bear the consequences". There are three problems with this. 1.) Children. Children are a big problem in purist capitalist/libertarian policies. Children don't get to chose whether to buy their own insurance. Most people agree that if children get sick, society should pay in some way. For that matter, if the parents get sick and don't get treated, the kids could end up orphans the state has to pay for, 2.) Contagious Diseases. If you catch a contagious disease and don't get cured, you spread it to other people. Some of them may die. Thus your decision to not get insurance effects others. We want anyone who has TB to be able to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. We really don't want anyone to start an antibiotic treatment and run out of money before they finish(creating antibiotic resistant strains). HIV patients on antiviral drugs are less contagious. 3.) In practice, society does pay for sick people without insurance, even if they don't fall in one of the above scenarios. They go to emergency rooms, and don't pay. They go on welfare. Lots of people will say "I chose not to buy insurance, and take the risk" when they are young and healthy, but they tend to sing a different tune if they are badly hurt or get a serious illness. Other reasons for forced insurance... 4.) Spreading the risk among more people reduces the cost for all. If people get to chose not to buy insurance, healthy people will buy it, while sick people won't. 5.) Forced insurances does less to damage the budget deficit then "the public option". 6.) Based on political realities, this was the only universal health plan we were going to get right now.

What do people spend on health insurance?

I will soon be graduating from college and am wondering how expensive is the real world. If I get a decent job out of college ($30-$50,000 a year - I don't know if that matters), and I get benefits from my job as a single person, how much does healthcare normally cost a person (excluding copays). How does that work?

how much does it cost for health insurance on you & your child?

How much does it cost for you & your child every 2 weeks in your pay check? I have Medcost insurance. I think my friend at work said it costs her $130 or something close to that!
--------------------
For me and my two boys, I pay $276 per month for United HealthCare PPO. If it were just me, it'd be free through my job. We just moved, and healthcare is SO much more expensive here (GA) compared with Michigan. In Michigan, I had the whole family covered (sons and husband) and it was only $160 a month for awesome insurance.

If I move out would the health insurance be in my hands now?

That and car insurance? What will be put on me that my parents used to handle if I move out of the house?
--------------------
Will your parents still claim you as a dependent, or not? If you're over 19, still in college, and claimed as a dependent, your parents' health insurance will cover you. If you're over 19 and not in college, you have to pay for your own insurance. Obviously, if you're under 19, regardless of your schooling situation, you can be claimed as a dependent and covered on your parents' health insurance. With car insurance, no-matter what, you need to either have your own policy or, for an extra cost, be listed as an "occasional driver" on someone else's policy.

Hiliary Clinton says she will install mandatory health insurance?

What do you think about that? I find it scary in a way. The article said that it would be mandatory for everyone to buy health insurance. There would be many kinds to choose from with tax help also. I still wonder how this can be accomplished. Can you imagine being forced to pay for health insurance and then not being able to meet the rent, car expenses, food, etc. Some people live day-to-day, check-to-check without any money for anything else. Unless the tax help would be enough to pay for the premiums??

I am Canadian, and I love our health care system. But you're right. It's terrible how long we have to wait in waiting rooms sometimes just for something sill like a prescription refill or something. Or make an appointment that won't take place for a week or two. I lucked out I guess. My doctor has a limited amount of patients and I get in ASAP, others are not so lucky. My dad hit his head and needed stitches, he waited 4 hours in the ER for them only to be asked to go to a different ER and wait 3 more hours...

How do I get health insurance under my parents? (Wisconsin)?

Hilary Wants Proof of Health Insurance Before Getting a Job?

Ok, so now parents will be forced to buy health insurance before their kids can work at McDonald's? Is this pure socialism or the beginnings of communism?

What's next? Mandates for exercise before we can get insurance? Eat healthy by her standards or loose our insurance and loose our jobs? Why are people so willing to trade their freedom for security? Are they this lazy?

How can I get health insurance for my wife, she doesnt have a ssn , she isnt a citizen of this country.?

My wife is a dialysis patient and is wanting to get a transplant but doesnt have the insurance to cover it. We live in the United States. I have attempted various insurance companies, they state that since she doesnt have a ssn that she cant be covered.
--------------------
Here are the rules about who can get a SSN and what is required: If you are not a U.S. citizen, Social Security must see your current U.S. immigration documents. Acceptable documents from the Department of Homeland Security include your: Form I-551 (includes machine-readable immigrant visa with your unexpired foreign passport); I-94 with your unexpired foreign passport; or Work permit card (I-766 or I-688B). And here's a link to all the rules: http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10120.html It sounds to me as if she could get one if she has one of above listed documents. Why not have her visit a local SS office and see about getting one?

What will happen if my wife gets pregnant and doesn't have health insurance?

We both have "outrageous" premiums through our work and would not be able to survive paying them so we have cancelled them. What would happen with no insurance? Would I have to give birth to my own son? The hospital can't refuse treatment can they?

Where can I find a medicare health insurance supplement in OK for prexisiting conditions and for under age 65?

Oklahoma is hard to find this type of health supplement.
--------------------
You will want to contact an independent agent that works with Medicare Advantage plans in OK. Pre-existing conditions are not an issue unless you have ESRD (kidney failure). Each plan is county specific but there are 23 plans available in Oklahoma City and range in price from $0 to $218 per month. Many of these plans include prescription drug coverage. You can get on a plan that doesn't include the drug coverage and get a separate stand alone Part D plan, of which there are 56 plans available state-wide. You must have both medicare parts A and B to get on a Medicare Advantage plan or either medicare parts A or B to get on a stand alone Part D plan.

How will Hillary handle these people w/o health insurance?

O.K. so insurance is mandated. We will take money from your wages, we will fine you, we will take it thru the I.R.S. What about those living and sleeping under the bridges & in the woods? What about the illegal immigrants and their families whose wages no one knows about? What about those employed by day labor companies paying minimum wages; what about those who depend on the churches for food? Hillary is just to short sighted and out of touch with how people truly in poverty are living. Please consider these issues before you vote.
--------------------
She isn't short-sighted. If universal healthcare works in other countries, it'll work in America. If a country like France can pull it off, then I'm pretty sure America can pull it off, as well.

How long did you have to work for your employer before you were eligible for health insurance?

My former employer requires one year of service as a full time employee before she will provide benefits. Is it me or is that a bit ridiculous?
--------------------
It is a bit ridiculous. In fact, I think it's very ridiculous. I have worked for places that provided benefits immediately, after 1 month, and after 3 months. Never a full year, although I have heard of that happening.

What is a good health insurance company for self employed workers?

Need a major medical plan with low payments. No ads, please. Just experience.
--------------------
You should strongly consider an HSA or Health Savings Account. It combines a High Deductible Health Plan with a Savings Account. The cash in the savings account is used to pay for your medical expenses up to your deductible then the insuance policy kicks in. Routine and preventative care is covered at first dollar so that doesn't eat into your cash account. Best yet, the money goes in tax advantaged, grows tax free and can be spent tax free so long as you use it on medical expenses (until your 65 then you can use it on anything tax free....it becomes just another retirement account). If you want to use it on something other than medical expenses, you just pay the tax on it. Best yet, YOU own the account and can take it to whatever employer you want or keep it yourself. If you don't want an HSA, I would consider an Individual Market health plan. Assurant Health is a good company in the IM market. They have very innovative products.

How do I get help for depression/self-mutilation with no health insurance?

I've suffered a series of depression, self-mutilation, and led a drug addicted life for over 10 years. I am now 26, have an almost 3 year old daughter, and need to stop before she picks up on my behaviours or even worse winds up without a father. Please help.
--------------------
Find a psychologist who uses a sliding scale for payments. It will be worth the money if you can change this one destructive behavior.Go to the first session and tell him that you have this one issue that you need to work on, but you have limited resources (we all do now). That way you can concentrate on getting it fixed quicker. You can try calling your county mental health association for information . Maybe there are free clinics in your area.

What do you think about the death panels in each private health insurance company?

The death panels that deny coverage to those who they feel aren't worthy of living.
--------------------
Unacceptable. The majority of Americans don't have choice now. If lucky enough people take what their employer gives them but even then face vetoes and rationing in the hour of need by the insurance companies. The American right is very openly defending the choice of those with unlimited resources, the only people who enjoy choice under the current anarchy. That's not freedom but privilege

Why are employers going to be forced by law to provide health insurance to its workers?

Why is it their responsibility instead of the individual? Whats next housing, food?
--------------------
As with most programs and spending done by this administration, there is little that adds up. Each program has increased the national deficit and yielded little in results. Each program will increase taxes on all and kill off many small businesses. This is just another program that will damage our business sector even more. It will increase unemployment and put more strain on an already damaged economy. The question is what is the long term result expected to be by these people? If destroying the economy is the plan, then force yet another tax on business. The largest employer we have in the country is the small business community. Even under good conditions, small business failure is at a high percentage. If more expense is added, that will increase that percentage of failure. If small business is forced out, that will leave large business that can be more easily nationalized, forcing dependence on the government.
