What jobs will give you health insurance ?

What job can you get with little education that will give you health insurance ?
--------------------
Larger companies are a good bet for covering their workers. Many states have laws related to this. I would suggest this is an easier rule than trying to find a particular industry that normally covers their employees. Make sure you ask this question during your job research and interviews if this is important to you. Good luck!

Where can I get health insurance if?

Where can I get health insurance if I am am a college student? The thing is that I have thyroid problems and I have depression and anxiety as well. And just recently I finished both my medicines and I don't have money to purchase any. They are expensive! Where can I get some health insurance?
--------------------
Well, likely you're not going to get someone to pay mental health benefits. The thyroid is CHEAP. Several varieties are on Target & Walmart's $4 list, so just pay for THOSE out of pocket. Honestly, your best bet is the school plan. A regular plan costs about $250 a month, but not for you, I'm guessing, because of your "preexisitng conditions". I really think it's going to be cheaper to pay out of pocket for all this stuff, than buy a high risk health policy to help you pay for it. Anyway. Go to a local, independent agent, and ask them for quotes for individual plans. Be sure you're buying INSURANCE, and not a "discount plan" like they sell you over hte internet.

My health insurance expires in 2 hours, what should I do?

Im covered under my mothers health insurance and it expires when I turn 19. Any good health insurance plans out there.
--------------------
Unless you're planning to enroll in COBRA (which is expensive), you should have already been applying for policies and had a new policy lined up to ensure that you don't have a significant break in coverage. I guess its a little late for that now, but you should have started asking this question 6 weeks or more ago. Start getting quotes from brokers, try ehealthinsurance.com, consider the COBRA option (if its available to you), look into finding a job with insurance benefits, etc.

I need AFFORDABLE medical insurance. I do not qualify for medicaid and just lost my primary health insurance?

I need to go to a Dr. but I am scared that I am going to end up owing thousands of dollars for a few regualar Dr's visit. I have tried to find some affordable health insurance online, but most of them are very pricy and out of my budget. I am young and healthy, don't drink or smoke. I hope to find a decent health insurance plan that I can actually afford. Any suggestions? Thanks.
--------------------
There ARE short term plans that cover Dr. visits. my short term plan covers everything but maternity, and has unlimited rewrites, so I am not only limited to 6 months of coverage. It also came with a discount card on dental, vision and Rx. I shopped around for a good short term plan and have been on the Secure STM for a few years now. I don't pay co pays and have never had a problem with them. My plan runs me around 110 a month. You can apply online at www.ShortTermHealthPlan.com or calling 800.647.4589

Do you feel it is fair for the Government to fine you, If you do have Health Insurance?

The new Pelosi Health care bill in Congress state`s, individuals would be required to carry insurance, or a fine will be levied until Insurance is obtained. it is 1,990 pages long sheesh they just keep getting bigger and bigger, there have been times in life i could not afford very much let alone Health Insurance, and this new plan will fine the uninsured. with this new pelosi plan they admit it will be more expensive than what we currently pay now, they admit it! was this not supposed to save us money?
--------------------
No, it is not fair. More and more government. We are losing our freedom little by little and some of these clueless idiots don't even get it.

Will you have health insurance when you retire? Will this country ever need a unified Health Care system?

Most companies nowadays don't pay for Health Insurance for retirees. So when you are ready to retire and do not have company backed Health Care, will a unified system be better?
--------------------
It needs health care now.

Unicare Health Insurance, What are the limitations on Organ Transplants that Unicare provides?

Was wondering what Unicare Health Insurance company covers you for organ transplants? What are their limitations?

You are not going to get a good answer here. Shoot I have their medical insurance and still do not know that. Best to just check their web site, or better yet just call them. That is not something you want to be wrong about.

Has anyone ever changed Health Insurance while Pregnant?

I am self employed and my wife and I are getting killed by our monthly health insurance premium (almost $1000 out of pocket). We would like to change to a cheaper company. We've had constant coverage for more than 5 years, she has maternity coverage, and she's currently pregnant. Everything I've read either says: - nothing will be covered since pregnancy is a preexisting condition - since we have current coverage, it would just be a switch and we might have to pay another premium for her pregnancy Anyone have any *real* advice?
--------------------
Your stuck... 1. If you switch, the pregancy will not be covered 2. If you (dad) try and switch, most companies will decline you because you have an unborn child (depends on the laws in your state) 3. Is there anyway your company can start a group (talk to your CPA) to get group coverage? Pregancy can't be pre-ex for group coverage under federal law (so it doesn't matter what state your located in) Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. I would "suck it up" through the 6 week post-natal checkup then try and switch

--------------------
Call your local health department. They have a doctor and nurses there who can help you. The visit are usually based on income, or if you cannot afford to pay, they can help you with payments. Go get checked out and good luck.

Is this what is coming for those who do not have health insurance?

Oklahoma has proposed the following punishments for those who have no health insurance: Among the possible inducements Holland proposed was forfeiture of football season tickets to University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University games, forfeiture of lottery or gaming winnings, loss of state income tax deductions or licenses to drive, hunt or fish. What about the people who truly cannot afford it. Do you think this will be proposed in even more states? Do you think it is fair? "None of those are very pleasant, but there needs to be a consequence," Holland said.
--------------------
They can't afford insurance, then they'll take away their ability to drive so they can't go to work? Sounds like Oklahoma doesn't have a clue as to reality.

If i leave the US and become covered under a foreign health insurance policy how does it work when i return?

if i were to go work for a company overseas, and they offer health insurance, when i come back to work in the states can i still get coverage for my preexisting condition under my new policy at my new company?
--------------------
Yes, but you'll probably have to wait out the waiting period for preexisting conditions, UNLESS it's the same employer. That foreign health policy PROBABLY isn't going to qualify, as credible prior coverage.

How can I get Health Insurance?

I'm going into my freshman year of college and I need health insurance. Neither of my parents have it, so that is not an option. Can anyone help me? I'm also from the state of Iowa.
--------------------
What college are you going to? The college usually has a plan for students. I'm in college too and neither of my parents have insurance, but I am on the student health plan. It is MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper than anything you can buy on your own and it is a group policy so they have to take everyone.

Can my son be covered under his father's girlfriends health insurance?

I was just notified by my sons father that his current girlfriend would be covering my son under her health insurance policy through her workplace. It was stipulated through the courts that he was to supply coverage. I don't believe that she should even be able to cover my son, I am the custodial parent so its not like she can claim that he lives with them.
--------------------
It's possible, but not probable. Domestic partnership rules are different company to company so the getting a letter from the HR department acknowledging that they understand that it's her domestic partner's child is a good idea. You don't want a large claim to find out that it's going to be denied because they failed to mention that on the application.

Do you think if we socialized Electronics, poor people could afford Health Insurance?

I noticed that all these poor people that quit their evil Wal-Mart job and complain about the inability to pay for health insurance and hospital and doctor visits are the same people with iPods, expensive cellphones, satelite dish, 50" HD telivisions, Playstation 3, Blu-Ray players. Why don't we socialize electronics? The government should open up a Best-Buy.
--------------------
Right on,Brother. I work in a grocery store, and Lots of these so called poor folk have plenty money for beer too. They pay with Electronic Benifit cards. The card has foodstamps on it, and if they get cash benefits ,it is on it too. They just run it though like a debit card, use the cash benfits and poof, your tax money and mine buying beer and smokes for the "Poor" folks.

Which of these is the better health care insurance provider?

I'm going to be having jaw surgery in a few months and the doctor said they don't accept my current health insurance, so they told me i need to switch to either: Fidelis OR Health First The great thing is that either of them well cover my corrective jaw surgery with no cost at all which is fantastic. My current health insurance provider is AmeriChoice by united health care, my parents might change back to united health once my surgery is done and a year has passed.
--------------------
Unless you live in a guaranteed issue state, no insurance company will give you private health insurance that will cover this preexisting condition. The only insurances that will cover preexisting conditions, with no copays, deductibles, or coinsurance, is WELFARE health insurance, Medicaid. So you need to apply to BOTH, and see which - if either - will accept you.

There are far more people without auti insurance than health insurance?

Why doesn't the government get into the auto insurance game as well while they're at it? More than 40,000 people die each year in the US in car wrecks, and more than 500,000 are seriously injured. And yet millions are driving without insurance. Why not have the government take over all insurance while they're at it? Health, auto, homeowners, life, everything. Each one of these things is a necessity in a way. If something bad happens without it someone could be financially ruined. Right?
--------------------
and just remember, many of these states REQUIRE by law to have car insurance but it is ignored.

Where can I get medical attention in NE Ohio without health insurance?

I really need to go to the doctor or hospital to have tests done, but I don't have health insurance. I'm 25 years old and am currently between jobs. Where can I go in Northeast Ohio for affordable health care? Is there a low cost insurance program out there for someone in my situation? Also, is there anywhere I can go to have low cost testing done without a referral? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
--------------------
You should go to your nearest clinic and ask them about getting help. They are for the low income levels and vouchers programs.

Under Obama's health care plan will I have to give up the insurance that I have already?

I have health insurance through my husbands employer. If Obama's health care bill passes will I have to give it up and have a government plan?I'm just so confused because there are a few different forms of the bill being presented to congress. Also will congress not view the bill until they return from their vacation?
--------------------
no is a correct answer... but here are the details. you will not be able to change your current plan at all once it's instituted, if you do, you will have to drop your insurance and enroll in universal. if you're insurance is provided via your job and you change jobs, then you will not be able to start a new policy with a new insurance provider through your new job and have to enroll in universal. page 16, 17, 18 http://docs.house.gov/edlabor/AAHCA-Bill… additionally, as the poster above me stated, most businesses would drop their health care for business reasons. with the increase in capital gains taxes and a shrinking economy, their profit margin is shrinking to a point where many businesses are just barely breaking even. dropping health care allows them to keep some of their earnings. although, if you look at the debt (http://www.usdebtclock.org/) universal is going to be unsustainable for a long period just looking at the numbers. if you are not interested in universal, there is a bill being floated in Arizona that will defend citizen's rights from government enforcement of any health care they don't want to be a part of. it's an easy read and if you agree with personal rights to choose and want to ensure that, you can send a copy to your congressmen at both state and federal level for consideration to adapt to their various levels as well. http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/1r/pr… i love when people cite opinion articles and videos as evidence to support their opinion and not the actual legislation. just tells me they are letting someone form their opinion for them instead of finding out the facts for themselves.

I would encourage you to visit this great website: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago and they have saved me thousands on my health needs. A social security number or DL is not required to have these benefits. And all pre-existing conditions are accepted. From Medical, Rx, Vision, Dental..etc. They even had my affordable benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use them the very same day. Good luck and Hope this helps

I need a health insurance plan that "does not medically underwrite"?

I will be denied if applying for normal regular health insurance plan for a injury that requires surgery by a physician.
--------------------
There isn't one. Well, you would use your SAVINGS ACCOUNT, or you can try a HEALTH DISCOUNT PLAN, but be forewarned, the discount plan is NOT accepted by many providers, and it only gives you a DISCOUNT, so 40% off of a $100,000 bill still leaves you with $60,000 to pay.

How is Chesapeake Health insurance service?

Hi, I'm considering taking Chesapeake health insurance for my family in NH. Not sure about their service or about their reliability. Please do let me know if you are aware of anything, Thanks in advance, Kiran
--------------------
They are also known as Mega, NASE, Mid-west National to name a few. They go by so many different names because of all of the bad press. Do an internet search on Mega Health for more information. They are not major medical. They are a hospital certificate and as such has many limitations. A few examples: depending on which policy you get they'll pay $500 per day if you are in the hospital. The average hospital stay is 3 days and the average charge is $4000 per day so you pay $3500 per day. If you are in the ICU they'll pay $1000 per day. The average ICU stay is 2 days and the average charge is $8500 per day so you pay $7500 per day. They'll pay $250 for an ambulance ride and only if you're admitted to the hospital. If you are not admitted you pay the average $1000 charge.
