Can you write off Accidental Injury Insurance as Health Ins on a Schedule C?
Can a accidental injury policy that pays medical benefits if I get injured be tax deductable? Is this considered to be health insurance that I can write off on a Schedule C?

Is it a good idea to ask your doctor about health insurance?
I dont have health insurance and , I need to know what my best options are , and I wasn't sure if asking my doctor would be a good idea or not, seems like she would though, since she knows my medical condition and i do plan to have tests run in the future, medications etc.

Is it true that you can't buy health insurance over state lines? If so, why don't the Democrats support making it legal to do so? Why is it that they support a total government take-over of the health care industry, and not actually getting rid of regulation like this to lower prices? Why is Ron Paul the only one condoning this? Encouraging health care over state lines would lead to more competition and ultimately lower prices.

Im 22 and live in MA, last year i graduated college and since i wasnt a full time student, i had to start paying my own health insurance even though i was a dependent. with the new health care laws in place, will i be able to go back on my parents health insurance?

My employers Health insurance company cancelled our policy for non payment?
It was cancelled on Aug 1st, we were told about it around the 15th. They told us they were working on getting it re installed. I heard today that the insurance company was not going to re install our policy and that we should start looking to get our own health insurance. My question is: Will it effect me that I have not had insurance for the past three weeks.

Over 40 million people in this country have no health insurance because?
they can't afford it. So what does the government propose to do to help them? FORCE them to buy their own private health insurance or face massive fines. Excuse me, but I didn't need some faceless bureaucrat to tell me this, I could have done this myself. Try www.mahealthconnector.org. They will have info about all of the different policies and help you chose the best one for you. Also, if you earn less than $30,636.00/year you may be eligible for the Commonwealth Care program (where they pay a portion of your premium). The lowest price that I found was $126.31/mo. (but that is with a high deductible and no Rx coverage). Good luck!

Does $300 a month for health insurance seem high for myself and my son?
Its through my work. I cant sign up until next month so I want to research this. It is a PPO plan but I'm not even yet sure what company the health insurance is through. But I think for myself and my son its 144.96 every pay period (every 2 weeks). Let me know what you think, if this is about right for health insurance or if its a little high.

That's not a lot at all. When I was calling around for insurance for myself and my son every company was over a thousand dollars a month. One insurance company told me "insurance for a baby is too expensive" and hung up on me. We don't even have health insurance right now, because we can't afford $1000 a month, but we don't qualify for state insurance.

If you have a claim for $500 for health bills covered by your health insurance policy and your deductible is $250, you pay $250 and the health insurance company pays for the other $250. Actually, the insurer may pay $500, and then they will come to you to pay them the $250 deductible. I hope that helps. The higher your deductible, the lower your premium.

Is it worth getting health insurance in the UK?
Ok - I'm here from the States where you absolutely have to have health insurance, but in England - there's the NHS. All well and good but it takes forever to get an appointment with my GP, and for specialist stuff - like ENT, good clean dentists and the like, it takes forever and it's damn expensive.
