Health Insurance for healthy female in her twenties?

My wife and I are looking for a health insurance for her. On Monday we will begin to call the health insurance companies for rates. I have been researching online and some of the best I could find have these features: 150 $ / month 1,500 $ deductible 80% coverage 25 $ / visit co-pay Could you please tell me about your experience with your health insurance. Like how much you are paying, what is your coverage, what company did you chose. Thanks to those who answer

health-quotes.isgreat.org - try this one. My sister had no problem with her insurance coverage while being pregnant.

Where can someone get health insurance?

I have friend who is a druck driver but he cannot get a job because of high blood pressure. He cannot get health insurance because he cannot get a job. Are there any programs out there for unemployed folks so they can get health insurance for medication so they can work?
--------------------
Health insurance should be available to your friend. If his high blood pressure controls his high blood pressure, he will probably be able to find coverage. You can click below for a link to the website of your state's insurance department. From there you should be able to get a list of the companies that offer health insurance in your area: https://lovetherates.com/insurance-infor… I recommend getting quotes and information from several companies. You should check: The insurance companies' networks or lists of doctors. Whether or not any pre-existing conditions are likely to be covered. The deductible. How preventative care is covered. The cost shares (deductibles, co insurance and copays.) The premium or cost.

I know some one that is lying to their health insurance company to get prescriptions. Need info!?

Everyone gets off their parents' health insurance when they are 18 or 19 years old unless they are a full time student (then you stay on your parents til 25 years old). I know someone that is 24 and she is dependent on several prescription meds. She hasn't even ever been enrolled in college. She and her mom both sign a paper saying that she is a full time student so she can stay on her moms insurance plan. what is this called?
--------------------
It's fraud. Search your conscious on whether you want to report her and they can afford the meds on her own.

getting health insurance over the age of 25?

How does the law work and what is it called for somebody who is over the age of 25 but still gets their health insurance paid through their parents until their parents die or stop working? Who exactly qualifies?
--------------------
Most employer's group health policies will NOT cover a child over 25, unless they are incapacitated - read, incompetant, and not capable of living on their own (example - mentally retarded adult children). If you are a disabled child, though, and have been disabled since before you were 18, you might be eligible for SSDI and medicare under your parents' social security credits.

would i have to add my fiance's son to my health insurance plan?

my fiance pays child support for his son from a previous relationship. his job doesn't offer health insurance. so if i add him to mine, as a "domestic partner", would i also have to add his son?
--------------------
Since the child is not your dependent, you cannot include him in your insurance. You are able to include the father because you are mutually supportive and dependent on each other, but that does not extend to his children. If he is required, by the courts, to provide health coverage for his son, it is not your responsibility, it is his.

can i have a health insurance when i have business?

--------------------
If you are in the United States, people who have their own businesses can purchase group health insurance from insurance brokers who specialize in helping independent business owners join a health plan. Look in the phone book and call some insurance brokers.

Do I have to make a National Health Insurance card?

Do I have to make a national health insurance card if I am living in the UK and travelling to Belgium in a school trip?
--------------------
Yes, you should take one. It gives you access to their health system as the UK has a reciprocal agreement with them. It doesn't cover everything (so you should still have travel insurance) but it will give you emergency treatment. You can get one here - https://www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/home.do

Will I be covered with health insurance during Army BCT?

I know I signed up for the max life insurance, how does health insurance work? Are you automatically covered while on active duty for training (I'm National Guard) or do I need to sign up for Tri-Care?
--------------------
It's my understanding that you'll ONLY be covered by Tricare while you're on active duty orders for the Federal Gov't...not State Call-Ups. But, talk to your National Guard recruiter or someone with your unit to be sure. I don't know, nor do I think, you can carry Tricare when you're not on orders. As far at the life insurance goes...that's a totally different ball game. You're paying for a service and it's guranteed. But, with health insurance you're not paying for anything.

which health insurance company I should buy from?

I dont have insurance right now but I'm thinking of getting one that covers dental, vision and health. Which insurance company is good that covers all those areas
--------------------
A lot will depend on where you live and what type of health issues you may have because not all companies are available (or have good rates) in every area of the country and also every company handles health issues a little differently. Your best move is to stick with large and trustworthy companies that offer full major medical plans (stay away from limited benefit plans and discount plans). Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, United Healthcare, Assurant, and Celtic are all good companies. Work with an independent agent that can help you compare quotes from many different companies. Here is some more information on finding the best health insurance company:

Can health insurance deny cover on preemie?

I have preemie twins they are 4 now and very healthy children. A Health insurance company denied them b/c it stated on their records that they could have CP due to being premature. Neither one of them have CP but they were still denied b/c of this can they deny a child insurance due to a medical condition they don't even have???
--------------------
Yes, if you are applying for individual health insurance, the insurer can deny you based on your predicted risk. In this case, they are determining that there's too much risk involved for them to want to insure your children who were born prematurely. (How premature were they? I'm guessing they must have been significantly premature, if the insurer is outright denying them at all.) The insurer doesn't have to sell you a policy though. You may want to check with other insurers - each one uses their own underwriting methods, and its possible you could find one to accept your kids. (Though you'll probably still have to pay a higher premium than the "average" applicant.)

Is there any reasonable rates for individual health insurance>?

Since we are Katrina victims and have lost jobs along with insurance we are on our own to search for health insurance. This, I am finding out is so very expensive. Any one know of health insurance that is resonable?

What percentage of Americans currently lack health insurance?

So this bill has no public option, no cheaper drugs, a mandate to buy private insurance and according to the Congressional Budget Office will help cover 94% of Americans. So how many people are currently uninsured?? Do you think covering an extra few percentage of people is worth spending $850 billion?? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_health_car…
--------------------
No one knows for sure. Originally the President said it was 47 million and then last week changed it to 30 million. Some say the 17million is illegal ones, others say it's kids, but that is not right as the kids up to 18 are covered by Chips. Also CHips covers illegal immigrants kids, so not that either. So not sure how they get the number. Others state that it is 11 million. One thing for sure in 2003 the medicare prescription drug deal was to cost $500 billion* over ten years, but whoops it was revised by the CBO right after it wa signed up to over a trillion and now it's like $2.3 trillion. So this deal will be more like $4 trillion. Also the health care lobby has thrown HALF A BILLION* in 2008 at the House and Senate members and they will be taken care of. the drug program has cost people up to 50% more and now they flood the country with dubious 3rd world drugs. Talk about quality control. So it's a joke and now it may not start till 2015 which means if 75,000 perish each year without it, then that means 450,000 will perish. Too bad they got to hid so much and pay off the corporations, as they could have done an actual head count at health departments and come up with a deal to help them now and real cheap. Oh well. So look for medicare to be overloaded gain and the health people to get paid insurance to make a mint and the drug companies to sell the high price drugs all over. ONe thing they don't understand is this will drive the economy over the edge. Some know as Gold is heading to $1,200 and the market will crash and that's that. The answer above me is a great one, he has the documentation. take care.

If there was two Free hospitals in every state would we even need health insurance any more?

I have posted an idea to fund two free hospitals and one free clinic in every state. Hoping to make it so we no longer need health insurance. You can read this idea on my profile at (http://www.myspace.com/noamericanleftbehindact) but this idea will only work if everyone gets involved. Please let me know what you think.
--------------------
You will need the help of each governor and I don't think that they would approve of socialized medicine. Although it sounds good theoretically you will have problems with funding when the donations run out.

anyone else have cigna health insurance?

I have Cigna health insurance and was wondering what ultrasounds are covered? The website said one ultrasound plus any others that are medically necessary. I have already had one when I first came in to date the pregnancy and am scheduled for my 20 week ultrasound on the 17th, will this one also be covered? Do most insurance see either my first ultrasound or the 20 week as "medically necessary"?
--------------------
I have Cigna. Cigna has about 75 different plans. There's NO WAY anyone here could know which plan you have. You'll have to call the number and ask. Neither the 20 week, nor the first one (confirming a singleton pregnancy, no doubt) was medically necessary. Medical necessity means, something is going wrong, and they need to figure out what.

How has the proposed health insurance policy addressed and guaranteed?

unrestricted access to the health care provider of one's choice unrestricted access to more costly specialists and unrestricted access to an insurance policy that does not violate health privacy
--------------------
There is no guarantee of anything in any of the health care bills. there is no way they can guarantee.*

can i see a Psychiatrist without health insurance?

i was trying too see how much it cost too see a Psychiatrist for some depression/anxiety issues i have.i just moved too north carolina, and have been unable too find a job too get health insurance.i'am hoping i can get on some kind of meds if possible.i just dont even know where to start.
--------------------
Back in the 70's it was realized that it was cheaper to treat people before their probems got too big. Community Mental Health Centers were formed to ensure all could get mental health care they could afford. Find out where your local Community Mental Health Center is and you will be charged based on your ability to pay rather than the full fee. Think about some talk therapy, though. Meds don't work very well for situational depression/anxiety (meaning it's not a chemical imbalance, you have good reason to be anxious and depressed.)

Would you support having your taxes increase by $15 each year if it would provide health insurance?

For this question, I'm asking about providing health insurance for all Americans who either are legally into this country or people who are natural-born citizens into the USA. Would you support it? (I'm not including illegal people in this country because I'm assuming in Mexican citizens knew they wouldn't be able to have the insurance maybe some of them would stay in Mexico to begin with)
--------------------
Oh yes , who wouldnt? I know alot of people would not. but again being a so called free country in the United States, this country of ours, likes to help everybody else before starting here at home.

Looking to start company. How much is health insurance?

Before I get specifics I was wondering if anyone knows ballpark figure for providing health insurance for myself and two other employees (if there is such a thing)? I don't want employees to pay for insurance and want to provide the basics. Thanks!
--------------------
If you only have 2 or 3 employees then you should be looking at individual plans. They can buy them and you can reimburse them as long as your reimbursement is equal and fair. You can't give one employee $100 and the other $200 (unless of course that worked out to be an equal percentage of the cost). You'll pay (if they're healthy) a fraction 1/3 - 1/2 of what a group plan would run. Ballpark....at home plate it'd run $80/month and over in left field it'd run about $500/month for an individual. It depends on age, health, state, plan, etc...as someone said it's impossible to through out numbers (for example, the $350 and $1200 above serve no purpose whatsoever because it's accurate less than it's not)

Cobra Coverage - Am I entitled if I was laid off but I was purchasing my own Health Insurance?

The company which I was an employee did not offer me health insurance so I had to purchase my own and now I just got laidoff. Am I entitled to receive Cobra benefits to help pay for my individual insurance?
--------------------
COBRA is 100% paid by you. You are only entitled to it if you were enrolled in your company plan and you leave. You can continue your plan through COBRA but you pay 100% of the employer and employee cost of the premium.

You need to do your own research. I would just get many quotes from different companies then pick the best/cheapest one. When researching health insurance you might want to try and bookmark this site for research information, news, articles, insurance quotes, companies, links and more. It should have the resources/links to help you with your question. http://www.healthinsurance-guide.net/

Will my health insurance have to cover me?

My health insurance expired on May 31st. I was hospitalized on May 30th for cellulitis.? My doctor released my from the hospital on the 31st and put me on in home IV antibiodics. Since the diagnoses and preapproval was given by the insurance company before expiration, will the insurance have to continue to pay for this approved treatment?
--------------------
No. Coverage ceases at 12:01am on May 31st. That means you'll pay for the time you were in the hospital on the 31st, and any services you received on the 31st. Pre-approval doesn't mean that you have coverage even after your policy cancels. Sorry.
