Does anyone know of any alternative medicine health insurance?

I am not covered by health insurance, but am looking for a plan that covers only massage, chiropractor, naturopathy etc. Just a plan that covers these things ONLY. Thanks!

You need health Insurance on life essentials because you don not know what the future may bring. Move to Canada its free.

Exactly what would be wrong with letting each state determine it's own health insurance reform?

Is there some reason why DC is better suited to reform health insurance (obviously they aren't any good at it, given the debacle we've seen already) than Albany or Indianapolis?
--------------------
Allow me this comparison. My state,California, is a generous welfare state and it was used by the other 49 as a dumping ground for their homeless, low income, drug offenders etc. for years. What would stop that practice from coming back to life. The cost of a one-way ticket is certainly cheaper than providing real assistance.

if you have a pre existing condition, but get a job that gives you health insurance, can the insurance deny u?

because of the pre existing condition, or are they required to take you because it's through your job? i've been denied by every health insurance i've applied to because of a small pre existing health condition, and am desperate for coverage.
--------------------
As previously mentioned, if you have a pre-existing condition you likely won't get coverage for anything that might be related to that condition. They may not decline you altogether, they may just deny one specific claim (depends on the condition). As far as your additional details, one thing you need to understand: They will still treat you if you have a pre-existing condition, but you just have to front the money, rather than having an insurance company pay for it. No one is especting you to just let yourself die, they are just expecting you to pay for the treatments.

what are health insurance options for foreigners in the US?

Wife is not a US citizen, has no ability to get SS number. Is in US temporarily and needs Health Insurance coverage. Maybe some sort of traveller's insurance?
--------------------
A non-US citizen can get a regular insurance policy here in Florida as long as they have been a resident for one year. No ss# is now required. Has she been here one year? The insurance company will require proof such as a utility bill, bank statement etc. If she has been here in the US less than one year she will need travel insurance. See some websites below.

How to get a lucrative income in health insurance?

does anyone do health insurance sales and what is the best way to excel at this profession

Some people do - not me. The best way, is to work 60 to 80 hour workweeks cold calling and drumming up leads. It's HARD WORK. That's why most agents wash out.

If I change my legal guardian to my aunt will I still get my parents health insurance?

If I change my legal guardian to my aunt will I still get my parents health insurance?
--------------------
First, it isn't that easy to change your legal guardian. Second, if your parents are no longer responsible for you, their insurance may very well no longer cover you.

Why must I be prevented by government bureaucrats from choosing which health insurance provider?

I want? I live in New York (Brooklyn), and I can only choose a handful of companies in New York that are protected from competition from the rest of the country. So, instead of being able to choose from HUNDREDS of health insurance providers throughout the United States, (which would do wonders in keeping costs down) I have to chose between half a dozen overpriced, arrogant providers who know they got me by the balls because they have sweetheart deals with city and state bureaucrats who keep them protected at my (and everyone else) expense.
--------------------
~~Health insurance has always been governed under state laws. Health insurance is the problem, rich corporations keeping us hostage for something we need to survive. What I'm sick of is that the public option was given up on so early. That would be the only true way of getting competition to the corporate giants. The reason insurance could not work across state lines is because of the state medical laws, credentialing, etc. could never be worked out to buy across state lines. In theory it sounds reasonable but after working in that type of work for 14 years, I can without a doubt tell you it would be a nightmare. So, we will have some reform (not happy with the 4 year wait for most of the insurance regulation changes to go into affect, but at least it is a starting place. Maybe another generation or two will finally be free of "for huge profit health insurance!"

Do I have to pay income taxes on a health insurance payout?

My insurance company wrote me a check directly for a health insurance claim. I'm not sure why they paid me, as opposed to directly paying the provider, who filed the claim. The provider is out-of-network, so maybe that's why. Anyway, my question is will I have to count this as income and pay taxes on it? It's roughly 25K. If so, I'll be wishing they would have paid the provider directly.
--------------------
Generally, no. If you paid the provider in an earlier year, and you deducted that payment on your tax return for that year, then the money that you receive now is taxable. If you have not yet paid the provider, or you paid the provider without taking a tax deduction for your payment to the provider, then it is not taxable.

Since the government can now force you to buy health insurance, can they also force you to buy cable tv?

from the provider they assign you to? Can they force you to buy a car, and more specifically the kind of car that they think its most suited for you? Maybe even regulate your cell phone plan? Keep in mind, not only can the government now force you to buy health insurance, they also will regulate your coverage-they will tell you how much insurance you need or dont need. And the best part is all of this will be enforced by our good caring friends at the IRS.
--------------------
If we, the people, allow them to do this to us now, then yes, they can do it again, they probably will and the longer it goes on the less capable we will be of stopping it.

--------------------
The best way is to not just do health insurance. Diversify yourself into different product portfolios. Health insurance will be the easiest to sell because more people are looking for it, but the money is actually in Life, Long Term Care, and Disability insurance sales. As of January, the health insurance commissions are going down to about 7% of the monthly premium (nationwide average). Meanwhile, the other insurance policies can start off at around 53% of the YEARLY premium and can cap at around 65%. I'm the top Long Term Care salesman in the state of Pennsylvania for my company and I'm making much more money than the top Health insurance salesman. And I only work around Philly. That guy drives everywhere.

I have a doctors appointment for my son on Thursday, and i just don't like the doctor office we have been going to because everyone is so rude, so i want to switch doctors how do i go about doing so with the insurance and how long will it take before he can be seen buy a new doctor so that the insurance pays for it?
--------------------
Depends on your plan. PPO or Open Access type of account would result in an immediate remedy for your situation. Call your carrier or refer to their website for an in-network doctor for the most cost-effective treatment. HMO with a referral option would require you to change your PCP. Since HMO's are dictated by the state you would have to reach out to your carrier to change the doctor. Some jurisdictions will allow immediate changes others may require 30 or 15 days notice. I have seen companies like Aetna that allow to change everyday. In summary, call your carrier and validate.

Health Insurance?

With heath Insurance prices continually rising, less and less people can afford it. If it gets any higher here, what can happen? Fuel is killing us to. What kind of a catastrophy can we expect? How should we prepare for it? young and old alike.
--------------------
I'm not sure if this is a question or a statement. Health insurance is essential for every person on Earth. BUT it is a rising factor that has the pooped scared out of most responsible human beings in this nation. My suggestion is for one to provide their own health insurance if they can truly afford to do so. People that cheat the system to get on Medicaid, Medicare, and other forms of Financial Assistance are HURTING the ones that actually have to pay premiums every month. HOW? Because nationally, state and locally funded programs of health coverage are paid at a discount. Yes! Hospitals, medical groups, and other entities offer the same medical care for less to indigients. Also, people that choose not to have a primary care provider, or PCP, is often a factor to rising health care costs. You know who I'm talking about. The person that disregard things like a sinus infection, until they can't stand it anymore. Generally they end up in the ER feeling like their face will explode from all the pressure and pain. OR there are people that have avoid annual check-ups, and years down the road develop a progressively intense illness that could have been caught in the early stages if they would have just gone to see their PCP. Now we have gone from a routine care situation, or possibly even a semi-urgent situation... to a full blown emergency!!! Now, a major factor is ... people that choose to use medical services like ERs, MRIs and what have you... and don't pay! Regardless if they have insurance or not. Their cost has to be absorbed somewhere. I don't like it either, but this is the truth. If you can afford a medical savings plan OR a good POS (Point of Service) plan w/a deductible... I say go get some today! Not tomorrow, but right now! Don't wait for an emergency to arises and think 'oh poop, I have no insurance! What ever will I do?'. Just go get some. Establish with a PCP, get your annual check-ups, BE HONEST W/YOUR PCP, and keep your appts! By the way, I like the idea of universal health care... but with our government??? LMAO! It'll be like the IRS with holding your chart!!!

My friend has a brain tumor, about the size of a golf ball. He is 19. It was diagnosed about 2 months ago. Yesterday, he went to the hospital and was supposed to be there until either he died, or could find away to do something about the tumor. They sent him home because he didn't have health insurance. Can doctors do that? REJECT a person's life because they don't have health insurance? They'll just let him sit there and DIE? I thought doctors were supposed to help you. Kenan says: im scared alainaxpwn.mp3 says: why :/ Kenan says: because i'm shaking uncontrollably Kenan says: I keep getting nosebleeds, and my head feels like its going to explode Kenan says: im having a hard time trying to breathe convo.

Health Insurance?

I am asking this question for a friend of mine. I already have insurance. My friend took a pregnancy test and was surprised when it came out pos. Anyway, she doesn't have health insurance so she hasn't made a doctors appointment yet. Were she lives there is a family planning and I told her to call them and go to them. I do know they have a health insurance you can get through them and what not. But I want to find a few different insurances she can look into and find the one that best fits her and her boyfriend's needs. I have heard of some people on here talking about an insurance that can't turn you down if you are pregnant. So I was hoping you all could help me and give me the names of insurances and hopefully a website that she could check out. Thank you for your time.
--------------------
medicaid WILL NOT turn her down for already being pregnant, thats what they are there for. i would just tell her to do to her countys DHS and apply, she will more than likely walk out with insurance unless they need to verify and that can take up to like 2 weeks i think. but tell her to go to a free clinic before she goes to DHS cause i know here in Oklahoma they needed proof from a doctor or clinic saying i was pregnant. they do have insurance for pregnant women and their unborn babies. tell her i said congrats and good luck !!

Health Insurance...?

Is it possible to get temporary health insurance for someone who is visiting from a foreign country?

Yes, it is possible to get temporary health insurance for someone who is visiting from a foreign country. Typically these kind of plans do not cover any pre-existing conditions and only cover major catastrophic type illnesses. Here is some more information on International Travel Health Insurance:
