I was diagnosed with postpartum depression four months ago while my family and I were on my husbands insurance. Since then he has found a new job and we have buy our insurance out right . We got a letter in the mail stating that they were going to deny health insurance for me because of my postpartum depression. Does anyone know why they can do this?

They can do it because no one has prohibited them from doing it (yet). The prohibition against doing it is not scheduled to take effect for years, and might be repealed before then.
