Is it possible to have health insurance coverage in 2 different states?

For instance if you go to school in one state but live in another is it can you have health insurance coverage for both states? It seems like it would be more convenient if I suffered an injury and could be treated in one state or the other at the time.

Each health insurance is different, but most will cover you if you are going to school in one state and live in another. The best thing would be to check with your health insurance company and explain the situation to them. Many insurance companies cover more than one state too. Question them on what they will cover and where you would have to go to get treatment. Ask them for a written policy that tells you their guidelines and the facilities that they cover and if there are any states they won't cover. If the insurance company doesn't cover what you need then shop around; find one that is more flexible. Hope that that helps.
