Can my mom be covered under my health insurance?

My mom works isn't provided any health insurance by her employer. If I get a job which provides health insurance, can she be covered under mine, granted that we are living under the same roof?

Generally, no. Most health insurance from jobs covers only (1) the employee, (2) the employee's children, and (3) the employee's husband or wife. In some cases, children of the husband or wife (stepchildren of the employee) are covered. Other relatives, such as the employees mother, father, grandchildren, brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle, etc., are usually not covered.
