can health insurance raise rates for being sexually active?

i recently went to a nurse practitioner to look at something i thought was an STD, it wasn't. But she marked me down as being sexually active, will this affect my health insurance rates?

No, your insurance rate will not go up because of that. In most cases, if it's private ins., they will raise your premium once you have been with them for 1yr, older the person is more expensive health insurance gets or if they make changes that would effect everyone.
