Why is protecting consumers of health insurance a bad thing?

Well, you're wrong. It's NOT a bad thing to "protect consumers of health insurance". But that's NOT what Obama's plan is about. You're falling for the label, the spin, the tagline, instead of reading what it's all about. It's about socializing medicine. When it's against the law, for you to buy your health coverage from anyone EXCEPT the government, that's socialized medicine. THAT is part of what people have such a big problem with. Read page 16 of the bill. That's where THAT section is.
