How can Japanese non-resident alien buy health insurance?

I am 71 years old and am a nonresident alien living in the US with my son (US citizen). I am seeking help purchasing health insurance as my son's policy will not allow adding me even if he were to claim me as a dependent. Is expatriate insurance something to look at? Thank You
