Can his family help him to get new insulin pump with their health insurance?

My friend's insulin pump broke. He needs a new one. it cost $7,000.00. He doesn't have health insurance.

Your friend cannot receive benefits of his family's health insurance if he is not covered by their policy. He should really look into getting state insurance (Medicaid) if he is eligible. I'm not sure if they would help pay for an insulin pump, but they might cover office visits and other expenses associated with care of a diabetic.
