Will I be forced to provide health insurance for the illegal immigrants who clean my house under the proposed legislation?

I would assume that you hire a contracting company to do this work. In which case, the contracting company is responsible for medical insurance and for checking immigration status. If you are hiring them yourself, you have a lot worse things in the legal area to worry about if you are found to have been hiring illegal immigrants. And if you are hiring some yourself, you are part of the problem and you are one of the people attracting them here in the first place. I believe that as an employer of less tna 25 people you would be exempt from having to provide medical care. But you will have to send in 8% extra when you send in their taxes. And if you are hiring them yourself and not sending in their taxes, as their employer, you are opening yourself up to a much larger world of legal hurt. And this is under existing law. Really, you should not knowingly hire illegal immigrants for any purpose.
