How many jobs are baby boomers losing out on because employers have to offer health insurance?

In many corporations there is a hiring bias in favor of the young and inexperienced. But the employers have to take into consideration the costs of health insurance, and if their employees are overwhelmingly in their 20's and 30's, then they are able to negotiate for better rates with the insurance companies. If job seekers were given the option to forgo employee health insurance, wouldn't that open up a lot more higher paid opportunities for older workers?

when i worked at xxxxx company (a very large, well-known company) they gave you the option of saying no to insurance. i should have said no to insurance back then because i never got sick, therefore, i was paying into a system which i never used
