I just got admitted to the nursing program and one of the requirements is a general physical done by a NP or physician. I can't afford health insurance. Is there somewhere I can go to pay for one?

Most doctors are very understandable when it comes to people's finances. When you call your doctor, explain to them your situation, ask how much it will cost and simply ask them if they can put you on a payment plan of some sorts. My last dentist appointment, I had to pay in two payments and they had no problem... It was my first time seeing this one too... so just ask, I'm sure you'll find it isn't as bad as you think.
