health insurance is needed because if you get sick for a week in hospital an american could lose their house / retirement . insurance companies know this and they exploit us by sharing our personal claims information in order to determine our risks as candidates. the charge us more and the premiums can be obscene. the government keeps our medicines priced very expensive and won't allow us to go to other countries and bring back the same medicine that is less expensive. the drug companies support the government that makes this law by contributing lots of money. many americans are going without food in order to buy the medicines that they need. many americans that have insurance , can't get the doctors or treatment that they need. they can die , while waiting to get preapproval for a life saving surgical procedure. it can take a month to get approval to begin chemotherapy. cancer can advance a lot in a month , and this could be the difference between life and death. americans recognize the need for health care insurance but fear that the states will make it mandatory as auto insurance was. the unhealthy will have to purchase higher insurance , like a SR-22 is for car insurance and still not have a good coverage. there is a article about older americans moving to mexico because they can't afford retirement in america and the health insurance/medicare. it s in msnbc today. this might be a good reference for your insurance. good luck doing the research / writing your report. i hope this gives you some ideas.
