I live in Oregon and my parents live in Ohio. They're going to send my 15 year old sister to live with me this summer for one semester, and I'm wondering if the health insurance she's on will still be active in Oregon for that 6 month period?

They have to be careful. In an emergency, she would have coverage, but for day to day stuff she may not be covered. Many plans do not have networks of providers that will stretch across that many states. It is possible, but they need to call the CS department and verify. good luck
