That is up to your company and what their insurance plan is. Nobody can answer tht question. Even if you got a family policy on your own, it depends which insurance company and which plan you get and what the benefits are, how long the wait period is, any exclusions for pre-existing conditons. If you want insurance not from your employer, I suggest contacting an independent insurance agent and get recommendations for a health insurance plan.
