Got health insurance through my work, got the health cards in the mail, what do I do next ?

I really need to set up a doc app for something, but I'm not sure if I need to find a primary care physician first? I have a list of doctors that accept my health care provider do I just call them or do I need to call a number and find the primary care physician first?

do you have a PPO or HMO? if PPO you can call any doctor you want and ask them if they accept your health insurance. if they do, you can go in and see that doc. your cost will be determined by the plan you have. if you have an HMO, then you would have selected a primary physician when you signed up for the plan. you must see that doc first, he will refer you to a specialist should you need one. HMOs require you to see the primary first to eliminate wasteful specialist visits. good luck
