Is it the cost drug companies dont want it? health insurance companies dont want it? It will lower quality medical for the rich? it will take away money from building bombs and guns?

Ding ding ding....you got it with the your last answer.....so much money is being spent on "the war on terror" and other political crap that could be being spent on national health care. H. Clinton (and others) have some really good ideas on universal healthcare....you should check them out.
