The best way to get the best is to open an HSA with a high dollar deductible and then never get sick. That way, you save all your deposits for your retirement and can pay the Medicare bills. Other than that, you get the best of your policy by getting the lowest deductible you can manage and then getting real sick That way, you only pay a little bit for the deductibles and you get to charge the insurance company lots of money. Anything between these two extremes is luck, since you don't know when you'll get sick or have an accident or what that sickness or accident will be.
