We just got the new open enrollment info for my husbands job. Recently I have lost my job and we have had baby so this time around it will no longer just be my husband drawing the insurance, it will be our family. Anyway, the premium for health insurance only (not vision or dental) is a little over $400 a month. This seems high to me and I am wondering if that is what most people pay for a family, or if I should look into health insurance rates online?

I did a lot of research on this, too. We pay about $400 a month for our family as well. The best deal you're going to get (price-wise and benefit-wise) is from your (or his) employer. Go with the work insurance.
