I am planning on visiting a gynecologist soon and was planning on paying cash when i was told the visit would cost 285 dollars. So today i decided to sign up for health insurance so i could pay less at the visit. If i go to the gynecologist on april 9th with the approved health insurance from Aetna will they cover me? I am not pregnant I just have a concern about my menstrual cycle.

If you don't disclose the menstrual problems on your application, they will likely deny coverage for a preexisting condition. If you do, they'll deny coverage for an undiagnosed preexisting condition. Ask the gyne office what the cash discount is. I'd bet it's a whole lot less than $285.
