Im Canadian and was in a car accident and may need some tratments for whiplash. Im moving to the US before the end of the year. Im wondering if I make the claim for the treatments if it will effect my health insurance when I apply for it in the US...is it like car insurance (i.e. once you get in an accident your payments get higher)

definantly ask your insurance agent -there may be a cap. the good news is that your auto insurance will recover any costs for you or the car from the other agent & most likely you paid for medical thru your auto policy. if you don't treat the injury, it will just get worse.
