I am a 21 year old college student who was taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning. I'm on my parents health insurance, what will appear on the bill/forms that they receive? Will they know I went to the hospital and if they do know will they know why?

Specific diagnostic information is never available in EOBs (Explanation of Benefits, the document the insurance company sends to the insured). The EOB will have jargon such as "medical examination", "outpatient procedure", etc. No specific information as to the nature of what was performed at the hospital.
