How can I get government health insurance for me and my unborn baby in NY when I'm a CA resident?

I'm moving this month to live with relatives in NY with my fiance and need prenatal care for me and my baby. I qualify for CA government assistance and would qualify for NY but am not a resident. I'm 3 months pregnant. Called the insurance company, I won't be able to keep my CA insurance once I move out of state.

You'll have to change your state of residency. Health insurance is regulated by each state, so you can't use CA insurance in NY. You'll need to apply for NY welfare health insurance. Or maybe your fiancee would marry you, and you can get added to his health policy through his work.
