Some claim they can't afford it. However they don't seem to have a problem buying expensive clothes, phones, and video games.

Really? How do you know this? Have you done some sort of survey of the young uninsured? Show us some sources or it didn't happen. I think you're full of stuffing from last years Christmas turkey.
