Its a government take over... They say it isn't but it is. The government want to take us over so they may have more power and control over our choices. They think that we are stupid and we need help. To the person above me that said Repubs hate Americans for not voting for it... You are ignorant. Work harder, get a better job, and pay for your daughters bills. I do not want to pay for her "condition" and neither does anyone else. I am 21 years old and pay for my own health care. I pay just about $200 a month. I have a prosthetic leg I received 6 years ago. I bought my insurance 2 years ago. I told them I had the leg and it would require more surgeries. They said ok and were more than willing to help me. Everyone needs to shut the hell up about not getting health care and do something about it. Go buy it. Stop depending on your government to solve your problems.

My son's father just got health insurance for him. (Only because it is ordered through child support.)?
I am responsible for anything that the insurance doesn't cover. Can I file this on my taxes?

Anything you pay out of pocket is a medical expense. Since you don't pay the insurance premiums, you can't deduct those. You can only deduct medical expenses if you itemize, and even then can only deduct the part of the expenses that is more than 7.5% of your income, so unless you have huge medical bills, you usually can't deduct them.

In need of supplemntal health insurance?
my mom currenlty has health insurance through her job, but of course, the health insurance company does not pay for everything of which some of the things her doctors really thinks she needs. Are there any companies that offer resonable supplemental health insurance to help pay for copays, shots, medications, etc., that her current health provider wont pay for? Also, are there any that will accept pre exisiting conditions, or do you have to be perfectly healthy to be eligible. Please help............

There are no supplemental policies to pay what you want paid. The policies available are for major procedures and hospitalization. The only way to get the copays, etc. paid is to get on Medicaid.

how much do i have to spend for health insurance? how do i get it?

It depends on different variables. Who you get the insurance from The type of coverage and where you live You just have to research all the different types. Such as blue cross, etc. They have all different of plans, so just pick one you know you can afford and how much coverage you want.

My friend is an illegal alien with no health insurance who needs to get meds for her bipolar disorder?
She lives in NYC. What her least expensive option? She responds well to Depakote, but it is way too expensive. And going to a private psychiatrist to get the prescription imposes still another prohibitive expense.

Is it true that if you use your health insurance for a chiropractor and let say in the future you may need to?
obtain your own health insurance will you then be considered not insurable because it looks as though you have a bad back ? I'm just wondering cause i used my insurance on a chiropractor for preventitive maintenance

I have been going to the chiropractor for years & while I don't have health insurance, I don't think going to one & using your insurance is going to be an issue. The only thing is this: Legally, health insurance companies are allowed to not cover any conditions that you had before obtaining the insurance. Let's say, you had a car accident & injured your spine & were being treated for it & still had the condition. If you tried to obtain insurance you woulld be fine but they wouldn't cover the chiro. costs for your injured spine, because it was a condition (a pre-existing condition) that you already had. Ie: I have a hernia & I have already been diagnosed with it. If I try to get health insurance, they will not cover it because it is a 'pre-existing condition.' I see what you are saying & the answer is; You will not be disapproved because of your back but they probably will not cover any chiro treatment for a condition that you already had before obtaining the insurance. Besides that..it shouldn't be a problem.

I want to work in a seasonal job in Alaska. I need it to offer health insurance. Where can I find this?

Just read the site & see if that's something you might go for. A camper would help, but many jobs have a place to live. I don't worry about that since I travel in a motor home. I have friends who drive tour buses in Juneau for Princess Cruise Lines and love it. This is their second year and they are touring the Far East, on Princess, for free all Winter. They have the best benfits of any cruise line that I have seen. They also have a fabulous training program. My friends found this job at workamper.com Good luck
