shall i renew my health insurance or get a new term plan ?
I have a health insurance (family floater plan from ICICI-Lombard), also my family is covered by Employer for medical facilities, Shall I discontinue my health plan & go for a Term-Plan from Religare i-term plan ? Pl suggest, thanks,

From ICICI you have health insurance which is useful in case of hospitalisation. i-term from Religare is a term insurance plan which pays your dependents in case of your death during policy term only. Health and Life Insurance as complimentary to each another and not substitutes.

What to do about health insurance while changing jobs?
I'm currently employed but will be leaving my current employment to go to another job. My question is, since the benefits with the new job don't start until three months after my hire date. My hours have been reduced, but our benefits have not been changed. What options do I have?

If you pay for your benefits for the following month (many do, the payment you make in April, say, is for the coverage in May); then when you leave you would have 1 month that way. But for the other 2 months, that is tricky. To request single coverage for 2 months would probably be extremely expensive. Most people just are uninsured fpr 2 months & hope nothing happens. YOu can try contacting your carrier & talk to them.

Is it ironic that working poor cannot afford health insurance, while federal prisoners get free care?
If a federal prisoner has a serious health issue, they can be shipped off to the Federal Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota, where the Mayo Clinic has beds set aside for them.

Health Insurance Cover Skin Removal Surgery?
I was wondering does anyone know if Blue Cross Health Insurance covers loose skin removal surgery? I lost a lot of weight but now i have a lot of loose skin and it's really bugging me =/ I have been trying for about a year now to try to get rid of it but nothing seems to work =/ But i have heard that some insurances will cover this kind of surgery. Is this true? If it is what health insurance covers it? Thanks :D!

I think its tough to get it covered and probably your only shot is if you can prove that its causing health problems...that is you're getting infections in the skin folds, etc. I'd go ahead and schedule a consult with a plastic surgeon...they're probably the ones who know how best to work the system. If its purely cosmetic and the extra skin isn't causing you any health problems you probably can't get it covered. Good luck!

When is this new Health Insurance Reform going to start?
As we Speak, uninsured people are dying because they cannot afford to be treated for things so simple as Pneumonia or to have a dark Mole removed. This country is the only one of it's kind that puts Corporations before our Constitution and Civil Rights.

Some of the states are fighting it, such as Missouri, so that will slow thing down unless we start putting the pressure on our elected leaders. The problem is the big insurance Lobbyists keep giving our elected leaders money to vote against Health care reform, a lot of money.
