Is it mandatory at Univerisites that you have to have health insurance to go to the school or have a dorm?

Is this true or not ? what if the student has state health insurance rather than private insurance like kaiser ?

It depends on the school, but in my state it is required. If you don't have your own (state or private is fine) then you have to pay for the university's insurance.
