I don't have a job but I want health insurance. I live in Houston, TX. What is my best approach to this problem? (other than getting a job that has insurance)

If you have money, there are premiums you can pay to have health insurance. There is no state program in Texas for unemployed health insurance. Search health insurance and you will find many providers.
