Can you get health insurance personally without having a job that offers it?

I don't have a job right now and I'm wondering if I could get health insurance on my own through an insurance company without having an employer to provide it for me.

yes. individuals can always purchase health insurance on their own. the premiums are quite expensive, which is why it's always good to get a job with an employer who'll provide health insurance.
