How can I ask my employer to provide and pay more health insurance for my spouse and children?

My spouse is leaving her job due to circumstances beyond our control. Our family had health insurance through her employer but now we are losing it since she is leaving.

Your employer does not control this. Open changes to insurance only happens every year at the beginning of the year, your premiums are based onan enrollment for a year. If you need extra coverage, see if your family qualifies for county health care, you may get her and kids on a discounted health or free.
