Hi, I think you should consider a BlueCross/BlueShield policy. Their rates are very good right now if you don't have any pre-existing conditions. You can also add a dental policy. Aetna and Humana can be very good also, but I think your best bet at the moment is BCBS. No, I've never been cheated by ANY insurance company. I've used my health insurance, with bills totalling nearly $1,000,000, and they have paid every cent that they are supposed to pay. Insurance companies are regulated by each state's insurance department. Their policies, coverages, and premiums have to be appoved before they can sell them. Insurance policies will pay EXACTLY what they are supposed to....no more, and no less. If you were "cheated" by an insurance company, you didn't understand what coverages you had or what it would or would not pay for. It paid every dime that it was SUPPOSED to pay.

Why are liberals comparing health insurance with car insurance?
When has the government forced people to drive or buy cars? The best way to avoid car insurance is by not owning a car, but with Obamacare if I refuse his "wonderful" medical care I get fined. I don't understand liberals, first they complain about the big bad pharmaceutical companies, but now they are cheering a law that forces people to buy insurance from those same companies. What if the companies can't afford to give everyones insurance? will Obama bail the out with borrowed money...again?

Can you imagine health insurance for a healthy family of 5 costing $18,000 a year?
and a dental procedure that takes up an hour of the dentist's time costing $1500? or an 8 minute visit with a doctor about a cold costing $150?? At the rate we are going now...are these situations in the not too distant future?
