Does anyone know if GHI health insurance cover the birth control pill?

I need the pill, but i want to make sure if GHI covers it. by the way i have a family plan.

If your insurance company won't cover it then try and find a planned parenthood in your area. They ones by my house is a pay as much as you can. It was very nice when I only made 7/hour and had bills to pay. Adding a baby wouldn't help that! I don't believe you can get pills like Yaz but they do paps and everything is confidential. Good luck!

How many sales seminars for health insurance can the old folks come to....?

without signing up before we can call the cops? they are just coming for the free lunches and to socialize
--------------------
Damn them! Next time ask them to check their dentures at the door... and then serve popcorn, fried chicken and chewy oatmeal cookies for lunch. That'll teach them good!

I have no health insurance and need to have surgery.?

I was recently laid off and lost my health insurance and can't afford cobra. Can the doctors turn me away? I need to have this surgery. I really have no idea what my options are. Please help!
--------------------
Medical Discount Plan ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services. Individual & Family Health Plans This is a major health insurance plan for individuals and families. If you are looking for comprehensive long term health insurance coverage for yourself and/or your family members who are 62 years old or younger - this is the plan to choose. Short Term Medical Plans This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you're no longer covered under your parents' medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you're employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you've found a new job, but your new employer's group health insurance plan won't kick in until you've been with months. I would like to suggest you get as much information as you could before taking action, here    www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info   is a good place for that.

If health insurance companies are at fault for rising costs than why are their profit margins so low?

compared to other businesses? I've heard they only have a 6% profit margin.
--------------------
Actually, the profit margin is 3% or less for many of them. People who believe that profit is the problem are delusional. Consumer demand for more and more coverage for less and less out of pocket at the time of service is largely responsible. People have become out of touch with the real cost of health care and since it costs so little at the time of service, they tend to overuse the system. Naturally, higher demand will ultimately result in higher cost. Combine that with state mandates for certain coverage levels and it's a recipe for out of control cost. The fact is that it's expensive because people over use it and because everyone who's insured is paying for other people to have Viagra, substance abuse treatment and mental health services... whether they ever need them or not. Another factor is government funded health programs. Medicaid and Medicare offer incredibly low reimbursement rates. Often times, they reimburse at less than the cost of providing the service. That loss has to be made up somewhere, and it's made up on the backs of the cash paying patients and those with private insurance.

Health insurance that covers pre-existence condition?

I recently lost the health insurance then found out my breast cancer came back. I heard that if I try to get a new insurance, many of the insurance will not cover the preexistence condition. Is there any insurance that will cover my treatment right away in Michigan?
--------------------
I work in medical billing. Your best option (and I don't know if it is an option for you) would be getting a job that offers insurance. With this type of group insurance plan, there will be no pre-existing period. **The other thing I just thought of is get on cobra. It may be expensive, but no where near as expensive as your medical bills will be. Good luck to you!
