Where does one go if you don't have health insurance but you need to see a doctor?

This person has very little money to spare. They would need to make payments. Who can I call? They need to see a dermatologist about suspicion of skin cancer.
--------------------
call around to different dermatologist and ask questions before you show up. find out how much a consultation will be. getting insurance will get you the discount office visits and discounted prices on the service. don't think that having insurance means you pay $0 for anything you have done, its just cheaper with insurance and you have a maximum if something really bad happens.

I don't have health insurance, I researched & Im sure I have tonsillitis, is there anything I can do at home?

For the past few days I haven't been feeling well, but since I dont have insurance I try my hardest to ignore it. So I found this in my research? What are the symptoms of tonsillitis? The following are the most common symptoms for tonsillitis. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include: *swollen, red tonsils (often coated with a yellow, gray, or white membrane) *blisters or painful ulcerated areas on the throat *sudden onset sore throat *pain with swallowing *headache *loss of appetite (dont have) *malaise (dont have) *chills *fever (dont have) *swollen and tender lymph nodes in the neck or jaw area So I am hoping that SOMEONE out there can offer some advice to me as what I can do at home and save myself the huge bill going to the doctor without insurance. Thanks in advance for any information!!!

Drink a hot tea of dried elder flower, peppermint and yarrow throughout the day. It will ease the pain of tonsillitis. Flaxseed oil reduces pain and inflammation and will aid in recovery. These items can be found at GNC or a health food store.

Question about health insurance and maternity?

Ok, I have insurance, but me and my fiance are getting married soon and I want to get on his insurance. I am working two jobs, and would really like to quit the one that I have insurance at since I make more at the other one. My question is, that I am already pregnant, so do you think that his insurance will cover my pregnancy? I know some of you will say no because it is a pre existing condition, but my mom and several friends have told me that in the 90's most insurance companies did away with pre existing condition rules. I know that some sitll have them, which is why I am calling tom. to find out. I think that his insurance is Blue cross blue sheild. What do you guys think?

Yes, they will cover it.

Why not just pass a law making it mandatory to have health insurance?

That is what you want isn't it? Everyone insured?

Can the government force you to sign a contract? No.

what is the best health insurance to have if I'm self employed?

I own my own business and need full benefits.
--------------------
My advice is to contact a local agent and have them help you through it. They can really give you an idea of what companies health plan fits your specific situation best, in the local area that you live. Are you full time employed, if so do your children have health insurance?

If not, what is your opinion of Congress and Hussein's plans to extend the SCHIP coverage to 6 million kids who's parents are in this country on work permits? I don't mean to be mean. But America needs to wake up. Our own citizens are going without, but congress can spend billions to pay for the neighbor's kids, but allow our own to go without. Is that the change you expected?

As long as there is one uninsured citizen, no free loader should be in line.

WASHINGTON – Thanks to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer's (D-CA) rubberstamp support for President Obama's contentious health spending bill in Washington, new details continue to emerge regarding the damaging effects of this new law, which cuts Medicare by $500 billion and will reduce benefits and raise costs for California seniors. http://www.nrsc.org/boxer%E2%80%99s-heal…
