What is an okay health insurance for cheapest?

Don't need to be full coverage. I just need it for in case something happen and also cover on the vaccine stuff. How much will it cost me a month? I'm 20 and will turn 21 next month so I'll be out of insurance. Nothing at my work offer and I just quit school so no student discount. Help!?

Get a HSA, Health Savings Account. The deductible is high and the premiums are low. The networks are open and choices are good. The advantage is you can also put away $2750 to cover your expenses tax free. Let that money grow and you will not worry about medical again!`

My European Health Insurance Card has expired, and I am travelling out of the country tomorow?

Tomorow I am going on a day trip to Belgium with my school. My health card has expired? Can I still go, does it really matter? I live in England.
--------------------
The EHIC card is beneficial if you take ill or have an accident. It enables to have emergency medical help without paying for it. You should have taken out health insurance, so for a day away you should be okay. Having said that, it was careless on your account not to notice that your EHIC card had expired.

What are some good options for travel health insurance?

My husband and I are traveling to East Africa from the USA for 9 months and need to find medical insurance that will cover us abroad. What are some good, fairly inexpensive options? Are there any insurance options specifically for international volunteers? Our budget is about $250/month for both of us. Thanks

I called few big insurance companies but none of them offer health plan for over 65 without Medicare or Medical.

What does health insurance subsidy mean?

This is for those out there that know this lingo, because I dont. It was on a job posting and I think that it means they put a portion of payment into your paycheck so that you can pay for your own insurance. Am I correct?
--------------------
It means, they contribute towards the cost of your health insurance. Not necessarily that they give you extra money in your check. Most of the time, they TAKE your portion of the cost from your check, and cover you under their group plan.

How do I get Travel/Health Insurance in Vancouver on a working Visa?

I am moving from Australia to Vancouver in August, obviously I will have my normal travel insurance, but since I will be in vancouver for 2 years on a working visa - I would be looking at getting something alot cheaper than travel insurance. What would be the best option for me? I thought about just getting travel insurance for the first month or 2, then once I am settled down look for a cheaper option. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

The government health care plan in BC is called BC Medical Services Plan(BCMSP), and their website will have info on whether or not you would qualify for it, or at least you can email to ask. Even if you qualify, there will be a waiting period of between 2 and 3 months after you apply before it comes into effect so be sure to have travel medical insurance in place during that time. If you don't qualify for the government plan, there are private companies who will sell you medical coverage. Pacific Blue Cross is one, Great West Life is another.
